Things to know about Mont Orford National Park

Located only 2.5 km from the chalets, the park is stunning all seasons and has many trails for all technical levels.

L'Etang-Fer-de-Lance

  • Level: Easy
  • Distance: 3.5 km
  • Dog-friendly in summer, must be leashed at all times

    Le Boucle des Trois-Etangs

    • Level: Easy
    • Distance: 5.5 km
    • Dog-friendly in summer, must be leashed at all times

    Le Pékan

    • Level: Intermediate
    • Distance: 9.4 km

    Mont Owls Head

    • Location: Owl's Head
    • 45 km from Chalets
    • Level: Intermediate - Advanced
    • Distance: 1.2 km - 11.8 km

    Things to know:

    • It is free to hike the mountain
    • See the trail map here.
    • Hiking the mountain is only available in summer and fall 
    • Dog-friendly but must be on a leash at all times

    Marais de la Rivière aux Cerises

    • Location: Magog
    • 5 km from Chalets
    • Level: Easy
    • Distance: Up to 10 KM back and forth
    • Google maps link

    Things to know:

    • Access to the trails is free, but you must pay a parking fee of $2.50/hr or $10 all day.
    • Dog-friendly but must be on a leash at all times.
    • The full trail will go to Lake Memphremagog, where you can walk the lake-front path or find a restaurant or cafe in Magog.

    Le Mont-Chauve

    • Level: Intermediate
    • Distance: 10.6 km
    • Dog-friendly all year, must be leashed at all times

    Le Ruisseau-David

    • Level: Intermediate
    • Distance: 9 km
    • Dog-friendly all year, must be leashed at all times

    Le Ruisseau-des-Chênes

    • Level: Difficult
    • Distance: 9 km
    • Dog-friendly in summer, must be leashed at all times

    Mont Pinacle

    • Location: Coaticook
    • 45 km from Chalets
    • Level: Easy - Intermediate
    • Distance: 6 km back and forth

    Things to know:

    • You need to purchase a day pass for $7 for adults. You can purchase them online here.
    • There is free parking and a public bathroom available at the church.
    • The best time for photos is at sunset.
