It’s the time of year when we are all waiting for more signs of spring: a blooming flower, some green grass, open terraces, and finally getting to wear shorts! While we have a few more weeks until we are immersed in warm weather the long Easter holiday weekend is the perfect time to start pre-celebrations. We have pulled together a list of fun things for you to experience in the Townships on your Easter break.
It's a first for the Marais to host an Easter egg hunt (and we hope it won’t be the last)!
The Easter egg hunt will take place on Sunday, April 9th, from 10:00 – 4:00 and will take you on a discovery to learn a little more about the beauty of the eggs of the species in the Marsh.
And, of course, they won’t forget the chocolate egg hunt!

Don't pack up your skis just yet! You can still head to Mont Orford and experience spring skiing fun at the Retro Splash event on Saturday, April 8!
Bust out the fluorescent ski suits and hit the slopes as the weather warms up and the snow begins to melt. In addition to the slopes, the Splash course will be open, and the terrace will be bumping with the tunes of DJ Set Del Arte.
Starting at 1:00 there will be a treasure hunt for 10 gift bags hidden on the mountain! Use your skis & phones to follow the clues that will be published on Instagram to win a treasure bag!
Visit the Mont Orford website for more information.

Send off winter with one of the sweetest experiences by visiting a sugar shack where you can indulge in all foods covered in maple syrup and learn how maple syrup is made!
The Eastern Townships is full of sugar shacks which you can start exploring in this list compiled by Tourisme Cantons de le'Est: 7 Exceptional Sugar Shacks
This year, we are going to try out Au Bec Sucre which translates to The Sugar Kiss (isn't that cute?). It's a traditional rustic sugar shack located in the village of Valcourt about 30 minutes from the chalets.
We highly recommend reservations in advance since this is a favorite spring activity.
P.S. The bottles in this picture are the April & May gifts for our guests! They come from the micro-shack of some of our friends who bottle syrup for our chalets every spring!
It may seem like we talk about Alpacas a lot…and it’s because we do! I mean, when is visiting an Alpaca farm ever a bad idea?
Alpacas Sutton has approximately 40 alpacas ready to be petted, loved, and fed from your hand.
Afterward, visit the super cute boutique to get some products made from local alpacas and alpacas from afar!
Visit the Alpacas Sutton website for more information.

One of our favorite restaurants any time of the year, Bistro Koz, recently added a weekend brunch service. And it is scrumptious.
A Mediterranean dish, with a breakfast cocktail a beautiful view of Lake Memphremagog, and life feels pretty good at that moment.
Afterward, stroll along the path in front of Lake Memphremagog before heading off to your afternoon adventure.
See the Bistro Koz website for more information.
Take your Hygge experience to the next level by pampering yourself with a massage in your chalet.
We have partnered with Chalet Détente to offer the divine experience of a massage that comes to you. A professional massage therapist in your private space is such a fantastic way to immerse yourself in a state of pure tranquility and relaxation.
Cause there is no such thing as too much Zen.
Visit our Chalets Hygge website for more information.
We have our own little Belgian artisanal chocolate shop right outside of the village that has an immense variety of white, milk, and dark chocolates.
We definitely recommend popping by for the divine smells and picking out a few chocolate Easter bunnies for the baskets!
Visit the Chocolats Vanden Edynden website for more information.
Ready to be sipping a cold beer on a sunny terrace…we have just the place!
Canton Brasse is our local artisan microbrew in Orford, and you can walk there from the chalets.
Enjoy a beer or coffee drink on the patio and a selection of their delicious snacks! Play one of the many games they have available, bring along your pup (they are dog friendly both inside and out), and enjoy the perfect après-ski!
See the Canton Brasse website for more information.
